Set in 1969 in the Suntree Bar, My Sweetheart & Me is a light-hearted romantic comedy stage musical that follows three couples navigating love, heartbreak, and hilarity in the fictional sleepy town of Cheerysville, Northern Ireland. Yvonne is at her wit’s end with her reckless husband “Happy” Sammy, who soon turns back to his old vices and spirals towards oblivion. Proud Ruby and layabout Cyril’s matrimony turns out to be built on rather sandy foundations that barring some kind of a miracle, cannot prevent a certain collapse. Meanwhile, their son, Bookworm Bob woos Pretty Sheena but faces stiff competition from charming rogue Dandy Dan. Unless Sheena’s sassy best friend Barbara intervenes! As penny pinching landlord Frank keeps the drinks flowing, romance and chaos unfold. Featuring fantastic sounding original songs, this feel-good show is sure to leave you smiling!
